Marta Węglińska (ur. w 1990 na Lubelszczyźnie) – absolwentka studiów magisterskich na kierunku Intermedia (2016) oraz studiów licencjackich na wydziale Malarstwa (2014) na Uniwersytecie Artystycznym w Poznaniu. Trzykrotna stypendystka MKiDN (2015, 2010, 2008) oraz laureatka Nagrody MNiSW dla najlepszych studentów (2014). Od 2013 roku współprowadzi i kuratoruje Galerię Silverado. Laureatka międzynarodowego rocznego stypendium Darmasiswa RI w Indonezji 2016/2017.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Zajmuję się obrazem, słowem i przestrzenią. Pracuję w wielu mediach oraz na ich granicach. Tworzę książki artystyczne, rzeźby, instalacje, filmy, obrazy oraz fotografie; ponadto piszę, performuję i tworzę wystawy jako kuratorka i współzałożycielka Galerii Silverado.
Każdorazowo działam według zasady „akcja-reakcja”, niezmiennie pogłębiając zdolność szybkiego reagowania, odpowiadania na zastane konteksty, sytuacje. Błyskawicznie przetwarzam i łączę dane. Pracuję - tworząc sieci znaczeń. Istotna jest dla mnie współpraca z ludźmi, która stanowi punkt wyjścia dla realizacji filmowych oraz literackich.
Pracuję podróżując, co w dużej mierze określa moje zainteresowania. Działam w oparciu o kontekst, interesują mnie zastane historie, archiwa, lokalna kultura i tradycja.

MARTA WEGLINSKA was born on 16 March 1990 near Lublin in Poland. In 2016 she completed Intermedia Course (MA) at the University of Arts in Poznan. In 2014 she completed Painting Course (BA) at the University of Arts in Poznan. She is a laureate of Darmasiswa Scholarship in Indonesia (one year stay) 2016/2017. Moreover she is a 3 time-winner of a Scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2015, 2010, 2008) and a laureate of a Prize from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for the best students (2014). Since 2013, in collaboration with M. Hryniuk and M. Nowacki, she has been running Silverado Gallery and been leading the project called Stirring up the images’ nest.

ARTIST STATEMENT
I deal with image, word and space. I work with many techniques, often on theirs borders. I create art books, sculptures, installations, films, paintings and photographs. Moreover, I write, perform and co-create exhibitions as a curator and co-founder of the Silverado Gallery.
At all times, I act according to the principle of „action and reaction”, constantly deepening my capability of quick response, in reply to the found contexts, and situations. I am able to transform and link data instantly. Thus, my way of work consists in creating a broad network of meanings. I am interested in the flexible cooperation with the people. This is the starting point for films and texts.
I work when I travel. That is what determines my interests.
